About Me & My Practice
About Me and My Practice
Welcome to my practice, and thank you for considering this step in your journey.

I am a Person-Centred counsellor and psychotherapist, trauma-informed and polyvagal-informed, dedicated to facilitating a process that encourages reconnection with your sense of safety and inner experience. In our work together, I aim to create a collaborative, non-judgmental environment where we can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. By being fully present with you, I support the conditions for personal growth to naturally emerge, without any pressure or expectation. This process is about fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and your journey, allowing space for healing and meaningful change, as you rediscover your own path forward.

My Approach

Empowering, Not Pathologising
I view human distress as a natural response to life’s challenges, not as a sign of illness. Instead of focusing on labels, we'll explore the ways you’ve adapted to navigate the world and help you find new, more supportive pathways forward.

Trauma-Informed and Somatic Awareness
Informed by trauma theory, neuroscience, and approaches, such as Polyvagal Theory and the Power Threat Meaning Framework, I bring an understanding of how trauma and stress affect the body and mind. Together, we’ll explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and grounding, helping you reconnect with your inner balance and regulation. I also recognise that your wider context also plays a role and influences your life. Everything is open for discussion with the aim of empowering you.

What You Can Expect
Through our work together, you may find:

-
Clarity and Self-Understanding: Gain insight into your emotions and the patterns that shape your experiences.
-
Healing and Growth: Process past wounds and move toward healing in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
-
Stronger Relationships: Cultivate healthier connections with yourself and others.
-
Resilience and Balance: Develop ways to navigate challenges with greater ease and confidence.
Collaborative and Flexible Therapy
For those navigating complex challenges, I offer a collaborative approach tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll build a shared understanding of your experiences and move through the healing process at your pace. Therapy is not linear, and I respect your rhythm revisiting places of safety and exploration as needed.

Some people worry that a non-directive approach means a lack of structure, or being taken back to painful experiences without escape. In reality, the power and ethic of non-directivity is that structure, direction, and agency emerge within the process itself - organic rather than imposed, authentically yours rather than cookie-cutter solutions applied to all. This is a therapy that holds a structure we find together.
The process may revisit, pause, or meander into unexpected places in your inner landscape, but it moves with direction towards what feels more alive, possible, and hopeful. My role is to be a co-explorer with you, a co-constructor, someone who holds the space. It can be natural to long for quick solutions - and sometimes they help - but in my experience, what lasts is when we walk the path together and allow the answers you most need to emerge organically

A Safe and Inclusive Space
I welcome individuals and couples from all walks of life, creating a respectful, inclusive environment where you feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Moving Forward
Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relational struggles, or self-exploration, my role is to help you feel more connected, resilient, and at ease with yourself. Therapy can lead to profound shifts, helping you build a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you are.
